We believe emerging creators and students should have the tools, confidence, and platforms to shape and communicate their own stories. Our work combines storytelling, digital strategy, and community-focused communications to help creators, student talent, and mission-driven partners share messages with clarity, purpose, and authenticity.
As a Public Relations Intern, you’ll help develop and refine messaging across youth programs, creative initiatives, digital media projects, and community-centered campaigns. You’ll gain hands-on experience in media relations, brand communications, and cross-platform storytelling while supporting efforts that amplify creative voices and strengthen engagement across digital and community audiences.

Interns must commit to a minimum of 90 days and can participate for up to 365 days in the program.
Media Relations & Outreach: Draft press releases, pitch letters, and media kits. Build and maintain media lists while developing relationships with journalists and influencers to secure coverage for creative campaigns.
Cross-Sector PR Strategy: Identify compelling story angles that highlight mission-driven work and creator impact. Help shape narratives that make programs newsworthy, accessible, and culturally relevant.
Brand Messaging & Reputation Support: Assist in developing brand voice guidelines and messaging frameworks. Support communication strategies that ensure clarity, consistency, and trust across all public-facing channels.
Events, Launches & Media Coordination: Help plan and promote program launches, digital events, and creator showcases. Coordinate interviews and livestreams while preparing talking points and event briefs.
Internal & External Communications: Collaborate with social media and design teams to unify messaging across newsletters, website copy, and podcast scripts to ensure storytelling remains inclusive and mission-aligned.
Degree Path: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Interest in learning media monitoring tools, outreach platforms, and analytics dashboards; openness to using AI tools for PR strategy.
Knowledge Base: Strong interest in youth media, entertainment, and digital innovation.
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to pitch creative ideas under deadlines.
Interns must attend at least one weekly meeting; SkillBridge participants must attend all four:
Mondays: 9:00 AM MST
Wednesdays: 10:00 AM MST
Thursdays: 9:00 AM MST (SkillBridge focus)
Fridays: 8:00 AM MST
