Remote Internship (UNPAID) | 90–365 Days
We believe emerging creators should have access to the tools, mentorship, and industry experience needed to bring their stories and ideas to life. This internship is designed for writers, editors, designers, and multimedia storytellers who want to learn how modern publishing works from concept development through production and distribution.
As a Publishing & Content Production Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience developing books, educational materials, audiobooks, and interactive media. You’ll collaborate with designers, editors, video teams, and marketing professionals to help produce content that supports creators, educators, athletes, and digital communities.

Interns must commit to a minimum of 90 days and can participate for up to 365 days in the program.
Publishing & Production: Assist in developing, editing, formatting, and laying out books and creative learning materials. Work with platforms like Amazon KDP and IngramSpark to prepare content and support audiobook and multimedia production pipelines.
Copyright & Compliance: Assist with licensing, citations, and intellectual property documentation. Maintain organized records for publishing rights and ensure all content follows ethical and industry-standard practices.
Creative Collaboration: Work with graphic design and video teams to align visual assets with branding. Support cohesive design across book covers and marketing materials while contributing ideas that enhance accessibility and storytelling.
Marketing & Sales Integration: Participate in marketing campaigns for schools, libraries, and online audiences. Develop optimized metadata and keywords for digital retailers and support social media strategies to increase visibility.
Degree Path: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Publishing, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, Digital Media, English, or related fields.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, Canva, WordPress, or Google Docs.
Knowledge Base: Interest in Amazon KDP, ACX, Draft2Digital, or other self-publishing platforms; basic understanding of SEO or AEO is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills; ability to collaborate across creative teams and manage deadlines independently.
Interns must attend at least one weekly meeting; SkillBridge participants must attend all four:
Mondays: 9:00 AM MST
Wednesdays: 10:00 AM MST
Thursdays: 9:00 AM MST (SkillBridge)
Fridays: 8:00 AM MST
Hands-on experience producing content across print, digital, audio, and multimedia formats.
