We help emerging creators and students explore the travel and tourism industry through storytelling, digital media, and real-world professional experience. This internship combines travel, hospitality, marketing, and creative media into a hands-on learning opportunity for those interested in how destinations are promoted, how tourism experiences are designed, and how digital content influences travel decisions.
As a Travel, Tourism & Destination Media Intern, you’ll gain experience researching and presenting destinations, supporting travel and hospitality marketing projects, and creating engaging media content. You’ll also assist with outreach to tourism partners while developing practical skills in digital marketing, hospitality communications, and content production within the travel and tourism industry.

Interns must commit to a minimum of 90 days and can participate for up to 365 days in the program.
Travel Planning & Group Coordination: Research and book travel for individuals, student groups, and creative teams. Explore booking platforms and hospitality tools while supporting logistics for youth creator programs and partner initiatives.
Tourism & Destination Marketing: Pitch travel experiences through digital storytelling and social media. Learn to position advertising opportunities to tourism boards and resorts, highlighting culture and youth-centered exploration.
Media, Marketing & Creative Promotions: Create newsletters, digital ads, and podcasts that blend travel storytelling with media. Collaborate with video teams to produce content that inspires exploration and drives engagement.
Sales & Relationship Development: Learn to sell integrated marketing solutions and develop outreach strategies for hotels, airlines, and entertainment partners using CRM tools and email marketing systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across copywriting and production teams using AI-powered tools to automate marketing tasks and build sales funnels that connect travel with digital creativity.
Degree Path: Background or interest in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Openness to learning CRM systems, travel software, email marketing tools, and social platforms.
Knowledge Base: Passion for travel, hospitality, and creative marketing; interest in the technical side of booking and the business of destination promotion.
Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and comfortable multitasking.
Interns must attend at least one weekly meeting; SkillBridge participants must attend all four:
Mondays: 9:00 AM MST
Wednesdays: 10:00 AM MST
Thursdays: 9:00 AM MST (SkillBridge focus)
Fridays: 8:00 AM MST
Hands-on training in travel planning, tourism marketing, and destination media.
Real experience working with tourism bureaus and international travel partners.
Mentorship from professionals across travel, creative media, and digital advertising.
Cross-training in digital publishing, podcasting, influencer marketing, and creative sales.
Performance-based letters of recommendation and a fully remote experience.
