1. Introduction
This Trademark Policy governs the use of DAKDAN Talent's trademarks, service marks, logos, and brand elements ("Marks"). DAKDAN Talent values and protects its intellectual property rights and expects others to respect these rights as well.
This Policy applies to all users of the DAKDAN Talent platform and anyone who wishes to use our Marks in any capacity. By using our Platform or Marks, you agree to comply with this Policy.
2. DAKDAN Talent Trademarks
2.1 Registered Trademarks
The following are registered or pending trademarks of DAKDAN Talent:
- DAKDAN® - Registered trademark
- DAKDAN Talent™ - Trademark
- DAKDAN Logo - Registered design mark
- DAKDAN Icon/Symbol - Design mark
2.2 Service Marks
The following service marks are owned by DAKDAN Talent:
- AI-Powered Recruiting™
- Smart Match Technology™
- Career Fair Pro™
- Talent Connect™
2.3 Trade Dress
DAKDAN Talent's trade dress includes:
- Overall look and feel of the Platform
- Color schemes and palettes
- User interface design elements
- Typography and font combinations
- Iconography and visual style
3. Permitted Uses
3.1 Factual Reference
You may use our Marks for factual, non-commercial reference to DAKDAN Talent, provided you:
- Use the Marks in a way that is truthful and not misleading
- Do not imply endorsement or affiliation without permission
- Include appropriate trademark symbols (® or ™)
- Do not alter, modify, or create derivative versions of the Marks
3.2 News and Commentary
Media, journalists, and bloggers may use our Marks in news articles, blog posts, and commentary without prior permission, provided the use is:
- Editorial in nature
- Not misleading or defamatory
- Used in proper trademark form
- Accompanied by appropriate attribution
3.3 University Partner Use
Authorized university partners may use DAKDAN Talent Marks to:
- Promote their partnership with DAKDAN Talent
- Inform students about available Platform features
- Include in career services materials and presentations
University partners must follow brand guidelines provided by DAKDAN Talent.
3.4 Employer Use
Employers may reference DAKDAN Talent when:
- Noting that they recruit through DAKDAN Talent
- Sharing job postings that link to the Platform
- Describing where candidates can apply
4. Prohibited Uses
4.1 Commercial Use Without Permission
You may NOT use our Marks for commercial purposes without written permission, including:
- Selling products or services bearing our Marks
- Using our Marks in your product or service names
- Creating merchandise with our Marks
- Using our Marks in advertising or promotional materials
4.2 Confusingly Similar Marks
You may NOT create or use trademarks, logos, or company names that are confusingly similar to DAKDAN Talent Marks, including:
- Variations on "DAKDAN" (e.g., DAKDANS, DAKDAN Pro, DAKDAN Plus)
- Logos or designs similar to the DAKDAN logo
- Domain names containing "DAKDAN" or misspellings
- Social media handles using "DAKDAN" or derivatives
4.3 Misleading Use
You may NOT use our Marks in any way that:
- Implies sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation with DAKDAN Talent when none exists
- Misrepresents your relationship with DAKDAN Talent
- Suggests DAKDAN Talent approval of your products or services
- Creates confusion about the source of products or services
4.4 Modification and Alteration
You may NOT:
- Alter, modify, or change our Marks in any way
- Combine our Marks with other words, graphics, or elements
- Use outdated versions of our Marks
- Animate or add effects to our Marks without permission
4.5 Disparaging Use
You may NOT use our Marks in a way that:
- Disparages or harms DAKDAN Talent's reputation
- Associates our Marks with illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Violates any laws or regulations
- Infringes on the rights of others
5. Brand Guidelines
5.1 Proper Trademark Usage
When referring to DAKDAN Talent Marks:
- Use as Adjectives: "DAKDAN Talent platform" (not "DAKDAN" as a noun)
- Include Symbols: DAKDAN® or DAKDAN Talent™ on first use
- Capitalize Properly: Always capitalize "DAKDAN"
- Do Not Pluralize: Not "DAKDANs" or "DAKDAN's"
- Do Not Use as Verbs: Not "DAKDAN your resume"
5.2 Logo Usage
When displaying the DAKDAN logo:
- Clear Space: Maintain minimum clear space around the logo
- Size: Do not use the logo smaller than specified minimum sizes
- Colors: Use only approved color versions (no recoloring)
- Background: Ensure adequate contrast with background
- Proportions: Never stretch, skew, or distort the logo

6.1 When to Request Permission
You must request written permission before:
- Using our Marks for commercial purposes
- Creating promotional or marketing materials featuring our Marks
- Using our Marks on merchandise
- Incorporating our Marks into your branding
- Using our Marks in app names, product names, or domain names
6.2 How to Request Permission
To request permission to use our Marks, email trademarks@dakdantalent.com with:
- Your name and contact information
- Organization name (if applicable)
- Description of intended use
- Duration of use
- Geographic scope
- Mockups or examples (if available)
We typically respond within 10 business days. Approval is at our sole discretion.
7. Reporting Trademark Misuse
7.1 Report Violations
If you believe someone is misusing DAKDAN Talent Marks, please report it to:

8. Third-Party Trademarks
8.1 Respect for Others' Rights
DAKDAN Talent respects the intellectual property rights of others. The Platform may display or reference third-party trademarks, including:
- Company logos in job postings
- University logos and names
- Technology partner trademarks (Zoom, Google, Microsoft, etc.)
All third-party trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Use of these marks does not imply endorsement.
8.2 User Responsibility
Users are responsible for ensuring they have rights to use any trademarks they display on the Platform. By posting content containing third-party marks, you represent that you have necessary permissions.
8.3 Protection of Third-Party Trademarks on Our Platform
DAKDAN Talent actively monitors and protects third-party trademark rights on our Platform. We implement the following measures to prevent trademark infringement:
- Content Moderation: All user-uploaded content (profiles, job postings, company logos, documents) is subject to review for potential trademark violations
- Automated Screening: Our systems scan for unauthorized use of well-known trademarks and brand names in usernames, company profiles, and content
- Rights Verification: Employers must verify they have rights to use company logos and brand materials they upload
- Takedown Process: We promptly investigate and remove content that infringes third-party trademark rights upon receiving valid notices
- Repeat Infringer Policy: Users who repeatedly infringe trademark rights may have their accounts suspended or terminated
8.4 Prohibited User Content
Users may NOT upload or post content that:
- Uses another company's logo without authorization
- Falsely claims affiliation with a brand or company
- Creates fake company profiles using trademarked names
- Impersonates legitimate businesses or organizations
- Uses trademarked terms in misleading ways (e.g., fake job postings)
- Includes counterfeit or unauthorized branded materials in portfolios
8.5 Trademark Compliance for Uploaded Content
When uploading content to DAKDAN Talent, you must:
- Own or License Rights: Ensure you own or have licensed all trademarks in your uploaded content
- Proper Attribution: Give proper credit to trademark owners when referencing their brands
- Accurate Representation: Only use company logos and names if you legitimately represent that organization
- Remove Upon Request: Promptly remove any content if requested by the trademark owner or DAKDAN Talent
Important: By uploading content containing trademarks, you certify that you have the legal right to use those marks and that your use does not infringe any third-party rights. False representation may result in account termination and legal liability.
9. Trademark Infringement Policy
9.1 Platform Content
DAKDAN Talent prohibits users from posting content that infringes others' trademark rights. If you believe content on our Platform infringes your trademarks, please contact:

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Trademark Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Continued use of our Marks after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
